Isaac Borocz has been St. Matthew's Music Director and organist since 1991. His credentials include study at Mercyhurst College, Erie, PA; a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Scranton, PA, with a simultaneous minor in music at Marywood University, Scranton; an M.A. in Theology from the Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C.; the University of Maryland; and The Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music, Rome, Italy. While in Rome, he served as Music Director for the Primatial Basilica of Sant' Anselmo.

Isaac formed the St. Matthew's Musical Theatre Troupe in the Fall of 1996, with a production of Gilbert and Sullivan's "Ruddigore." This hard-working troupe of amateur performers produces two musicals a year, in the Spring and Fall. Isaac says he regrets that it took him so long to get to Bowie!
