2007 ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

• Installed shelves for disaster supplies in storage building
• Obtained disaster equipment and supplies
• Prepared fact sheet on church insurance for DRT volunteers
• Recruited over 100 leaders and volunteers
• Held volunteer Orientation and Potluck Supper in March
• Determined available home sheltering within congregation
• Completed Red Cross CPR, First Aid and shelter trainings
• Completed church-sponsored chain saw and air gun nailer training
• Published numerous preparedness articles in The Circuit Rider
• Established a Ways and Means Committee
• Recruited a DRT reporter for Circuit Rider articles
• Designed and purchased magnetic signs to advertise DRP
• Received donated laptop computers and printer
• Received discounts/donations from private/corporate sources
• Approved to purchase Federal and State of Maryland surplus
• Recorded all electric circuitry for Fellowship Hall
• Purchased air gun nailers and air compressor
• Completed fact sheet on Maryland “Good Samaritan Law”
• Repainted and performed maintenance on disaster trailer
• Completed inventory of DRP equipment and supplies
• Participated in church Mission Sunday
• Signed agreement with Red Cross for sheltering, beds, supplies
• Obtained agreements with Angel Gang & Bowie FISH for assistance
• Held numerous meetings with county and city emergency personnel
• Obtained and prepared Conference truck for disaster response use
