Adult Ministry Sunday morning Church School classes for adults are held from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Bible study, social concerns, and living a Christian life are usual offerings. Classes run from September to June. Young Adult Ministries offers programs and events for young professionals who are looking for an opportunity to connect with those in similar life situations. Pastor’s Bible Study, led by Rev. Dick Stetler, is designed so that you can drop in and out at any time. Group discussion is encouraged. Childcare is provided upon request. The class meets Tuesday mornings at the church. The "Angel Gang" is a group whose mission is to draw on their common experiences as they assist others who are faced with challenges to their wellness. Led by Rev. Dick Stetler, the "Angel Gang" meets in the church on Tuesday mornings. Everyone is welcome. Disciple Studies is a program of disciplined Bible study aimed at developing strong Christian leaders. Altar Guild is responsible for the care of the sanctuary, narthex displays, and seasonal decoration of the sanctuary. All adults and junior/senior high youth are invited to join. Bowie Area Singles is a support program with social emphasis for single/"single again" adults. Weekly activities are planned, with a monthly general meeting at St. Matthew's on the first Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Mothers' Support Group is a discussion group for mothers that meets every Wednesday morning at St. Matthew's. Child care is provided. St. Matthew's Environment Group promotes events and information that contribute to the health of the earth and encourages our elected leaders to enact legislation that’s environmentally friendly. |
