Rev. Dick Stetler, our Senior Pastor, is a graduate of Wesley Theological Seminary. Prior to his arrival at St. Matthew's in July of 1995, Dick served at Capitol Hill UMC in Washington, D.C. His previous charges include Arden UMC in
Martinsburg, W.V. He spent 12 years as Associate Minister at Cheverly UMC, Cheverly, MD, serving as their Youth Minister. While there, he served under his father, Rev. Roy Stetler, now retired.Dick is extremely active in community organizations and activities in Bowie. His office is always open to those in need of some friendly and wise counsel!
