Volunteers in Mission
Opercion Hogar - November 2006
Working on the Mission House
All the VIM work teams that participate in the
building of houses or work on the Bethesda Medical/Dental Clinic in
Juarez, Mexico under the auspices of the Operacion Hogar Project, an
arm of the Methodist Church in Mexico, stay in the same Mission
House.
It is located in a nice middle class
neighborhood that is reasonably safe. There are stores and a park
nearby and teams are able to go for a walk after they return from a
days work. A team of six men from our church – Dick Stetler, Gordon
Harvey, Clyde Draughn, Bill Schneider, Pete Saderholm and Matt
Mitrione spent five days the week before Thanksgiving 2006, working
on improving this house which was in need of repairs.
