Bethesda Medical/Dental Clinic in Juarez, Mexico

We began sowing our seeds for the Juarez Mexico trip in the fall of 2004 during our church Mission Fair. The progress of gaining congregational support continued through many months, calling upon people to gather dental kits, school supplies, toys, medical supplies and equipment, cleaning items, personal hygiene kits, cash donations and team members.

Fourteen volunteers, seven whom had participated on previous mission trips, decided to venture forth. They came from different backgrounds but maintained their focus that they could make a difference in the lives of others by giving expression to God's love.

Today the Medical/Dental Clinic is a better functioning facility as a result of what our team accomplished. Deep friendships resulted from our team building exercises. Love from our congregation was given form because of its long-standing legacy of support for missions. No one can estimate the impact the ripple effect caused from our church family's energy.

Our task is to sow our seeds, let go and let God. The opportunity that invites us is to ensure that mission happens. Each of us needs to hold on to that understanding and vision as we cherish the memories that resulted from our saying "yes" to being in mission.
